Anyone still there???

Oo, crumbs, erm, I don't know if I can remember how to do this blogging lark... ummm, ok, so, sorry for being away so long but I've just been really, stupidly busy... I know.. no excuse... but I think I lost my blogging mojo for a while and to be honest I'm still not sure it's back...

Well, Christmas and New Year came and went and we all had a jolly time, Christmas Day was just us three and then we ventured through the ice and snow to visit my family - especially our new addition, my totally gorgeous nephew W, son to Sis and Mr Sis, he was born in November.

So it was C, Hubby and I, Mum and R, Dad and CJ, Sis, Mr Sis and W - so it was cosy but it was fun!

Then it was home to celebrate Hubby's birthday and a trip to London to see Jersey Boys (again but wow was it worth it!), this was followed by a quiet NYE with us three and my BF, chinese food, chocolate and champagne - what more do you need?!

Then back to work.... or not, I went in on Monday and was sent home as I was feeling rough, and ended up being off for the rest of the week - I was really, really ill - nasty case of flu which knocked me sideways for nearly three weeks, but I kept trying to keep going - which doesn't help anyone - least of all me!

Anyway then came C's 10th birthday and a fab disco party which she loved and they all look so grown up now!!

So work, school, rehearsals, Governors, snow, flu, wedding shopping (Mum & R), it all keeps going, and I never seem to have any time to blog anymore.


It's not so much that I don't want to, I really haven't got the time and I am conscious that the focus of this blog has become something other than it was, simply because I don't have the time to bake as much anymore and I'm trying to lose weight and don't need the temptation! (That said I am making the wedding cake and W's christening cake so there will be cake...)

I know things change and one of the reasons I started blogging was to pass the time when I wasn't working and now I am - so obviously it has changed and I had considered just giving up but I don't want to give up on it totally.

I have lots of completed projects to show and tell about and a couple of WIP'S that I will tell you about, but I think blogs from me are going to be a bit sporadic for a while longer... bear with me and maybe I will be back more regularly if other things give a bit.

However I am still stitching, still learning to crochet, still singing and still cooking, though it's more dinner than desserts!

I know I still have 300 post prize to send out (Sorry Sharon!) and I am not able to commit to any swaps at the moment. I have lots of things planned for 2010 but am not letting on just yet in case things don't work out.

So that's it... for now... sorry for wittering on... I am hoping to pop up again in the not too distant future....
